Curriculum, workbooks and reader’s editions on the world’s wisdom traditions, for anyone who teaches or gathers people. We add titles slowly. Each section starts with what’s ready and then lists what’s in the works.
Three editions, one source
Every title starts from the same research and the same primary sources. What changes is the wrapper, so it fits the room.

Circle Edition
Self-Study Edition
Not every title comes in all three yet. Each one below says what it comes in and who it’s for. Every title will also be a PDF you can download from us, and buying here will never cost more than buying it anywhere else.
Curriculum
Nonfiction reading passages on the world’s traditions and the people who carried them, for grades 8–11. Every packet teaches about religion as history and literature, and every section asks students to sort what is documented from what was told later.
Classroom Edition · Grades 8–11 · 68-page PDF plus a four-page Teacher Guide · $8.50 for one classroom
World Religions Through Six Lives
For: Classrooms · Homeschool
Six people who carried their own tradition further than its institutions were comfortable with: Rumi (Islam), Julian of Norwich (Christianity), Mirabai (Hinduism), Hakuin Ekaku (Buddhism), the Baal Shem Tov (Judaism) and Zhuangzi (Taoism).
Each section has a nonfiction passage of 626–677 words with numbered lines, a historical context sidebar, six vocabulary terms, eight text-dependent questions, a discussion set and a full answer key. A comparison organizer, an argumentative essay with a 16-point rubric, and a two-page spread of short readings in the six figures’ own words close the unit. It’s aligned to Common Core, the C3 Framework, AASL and Texas TEKS, and the Teacher Guide lists every code. Teach it as a six-day unit, a weekly routine, or six stand-alone sub plans.

In the works
These packets follow the same format, with four lives each unless noted, and the same four-page Teacher Guide.
- Indigenous Voices. Black Elk, Luther Standing Bear, Charles Eastman (Ohiyesa) and Davi Kopenawa, four lives that reach us through their own telling or through an outsider who wrote it down.
- Conscience and Resistance. Harriet Tubman, Howard Thurman, Dorothy Day and Mahatma Gandhi, with two famous misquotations corrected from the evidence.
- Women Who Would Not Be Quiet. Hildegard of Bingen, Marguerite Porete, Akka Mahadevi and Joan of Arc, four women in four very different places in the historical record.
- Poetry and the Sacred. Emily Dickinson, Walt Whitman, Hafiz and Kabir, each with a public-domain poem or excerpt.
- The American Transcendentalists. Henry David Thoreau, Margaret Fuller, Emily Dickinson and John Muir.
- Sikhism: The Ten Gurus. Guru Nanak, Guru Arjan, Guru Tegh Bahadur and Guru Gobind Singh, from the founder to the end of the line of human Gurus.
- Confucius. A single reading on the teacher no king would hire, with a passage from the Analects in James Legge’s 1893 translation.
The Foundations series, also in the works, introduces one tradition per packet in six readings, from its beginnings to the way it’s practiced today: Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Taoism and Sikhism.
